Reese Ballard wins the 2023 Doggett's Coat and Badge

Reese Ballard won the 2023 Doggett's Coat and Badge today, on his first try. He completed in a time of 32 minutes and 10 seconds.
It was an exciting race, preceded by the Coronation to Coronation Pageant, that left Waterloo Bridge ahead of the Wager, and raise oars in salute to the competitors as they passed upstream.
Reese, Matt and Emily sculled strongly, with Matt taking an early lead. But Reese settled into a strong rhythm, eventually overtaking Matt, who later capsized, leaving Emily to finish second.
Well done to all three competitors.
